Blair Banks is a metro Atlanta native currently working as a student affairs professional at Emory University. She received her BA in Race and Ethnicity Studies from Salem College in Winston-Salem, NC, and her MA in African American Studies from Georgia State University. Her research focuses on the experiences of African American museum-goers and the potentiality of (re)traumatization in relation to site-specific interpretations of chattel slavery and the U.S. Civil Rights Movement.
