Philip Hutchison is an Ohio native with strong ties to his southeast Ohio Appalachian roots. As a Historical Resources Program Administrator at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, he is passionate about interpreting history for a broad public audience. Philip is a graduate of Ohio University with a B.A. in History and an M.P.A.
The Civilian Conservation Corps, one of Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s most popular New Deal programs, provided work, education, and recreation opportunities for hundreds of thousands of young African American men.
